I binge read "The Mortal Instruments" and I always thought the series would be a load of nonsense, but I received a pleasant surprise. The constant suspense has made it one of my favorite series...of all time.
Tarra's nice, but she is sort of strange. She likes Doctor Who. That's all that matters.

Whenever she walked, she sulked. Bad posture, excellent grammar, and a smile scarcely reached Ryan's lips. When Ryan slept, a confusing eruption of troubled thoughts escaped her mind and waltzed through her dreams. You often had to repeat things, because she didn't bother listening to you the first time and when she realized you were talking, she interrupted you and asked about what you were saying. Wandering aimlessly around the flat plains with the constant crackling of cicadas, she entered another reality thinking of when the world would finally reach it's end. Zombies, nuclear weapons, global warming, whatever it was, it wouldn't stop
